We got discharged at around noon today and are home. I am thankful to have him home, but he has maybe had about 4 oz today. I am just worried about him getting dehydrated... He doesn't want anything from the bottle.
We switched to the tylenol 3 with codeine today and his pain now seems to be a bit better. Its so sad b/c he is so drugged and doesn't even resemble his normal self. I miss my baby...
Please continue to send prayers that his pain stays controlled, he starts to drink anything and he starts to feel like himself.
Thanks
So glad you're home! Hang in there... Eli is so strong. He'll be back to normal before you know it.

It is great that you are home:) I am sure Eli will be much more settled there. I don't think Paddy ate or drank much after the surgery, it just knocks it out of them:( If Eli still seems unsettled try the diazepam it was a huge help to Paddy, it relaxed her and helped with muscle spasms, which means she was alot happier. This is not an easy time, but I know it does get better, it really does, big hugs to you and your lovely family, we are thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteyou know we are thinking of you all
ReplyDeleteEvery night at bedtime, we pray for the three of you. We are thankful that Eli's surgery is over and hope that the next few days bring the answers to all of our prayers... Eli's pain will subside and he will begin feeling like himself again. Know that we are sending much love and positive thoughts your way. It is amazing the strength that the three of you have. Hold on to that!
