Its been a rough 24 hours. I was not prepared for this, although I don't even know how I could have been. Eli is nauseous and so has no appetite. He has barely had anything in the past 24 hours. The two times he did eat a bit he vomited.
Jered just went to the pharmacy because Dr. Clark called in some medicine that will
supposedly help with the nausea. The nurse said that some kids just have a tough time with the anesthesia and plus the medicine for pain is probably making him nauseous.
This is horrible. Who in the hell cares about him losing his foot? That seems like such an insignificant thing right now. My baby is sick and completely miserable and it is killing me.
So anyways, please pray for the following:
- That Eli's nausea is under control and that he gets his appetite back.
- That his pain is managed.
- That he is not so unbelievably miserable.
Thank you.
We are thinking and praying for y'all. Eli is a strong little boy, and the days ahead will get easier.
ReplyDeleteWe will be praying.
ReplyDeleteI hope his tummy feels better. Continue to call and get what you need. You know your baby best, you are doing great.
Oh, Kristina. I'm so very sorry. Know of my continued prayers. I wish there was something tangible I could do to help.
ReplyDeleteYou know you're giving him the best care possible... He'll feel better soon -- I'm sure the antinausea meds will help. Hang in there!
