Eli turned 21 months last Friday. It is crazy to think that in 3 short months my baby is going to be 2 years old!! Yikes, how did that happen?
At 21 months here are some things that Eli likes:
- Any kind of fruit
- Elmo
- Barney
- Watching videos on the computer
- Reading books
- ABC’s
- Numbers
- Cars
- Crayons/coloring
- Stickers
- Playing outside
- Balls
- Slides
- Bath time
- His blankie
- Swimming in pools
Some things that he doesn’t like very much:
- Getting his haircut (watch out for his ponytail coming soon)
- Eating meat and vegetables
- When nurses or OB doctors come close to Mama
- Getting casted/fitted for his new leggie
- When Mama leaves the room
- When Daddy sings
He really is all boy and has started climbing. His favorite is to get up on chairs. We have two sets of stairs in our new house and he really wants to climb them on his own. We are practicing.
He is starting to show his silly side and loves to move his fingers over his lower lip and make funny noises. He loves to be tickled and his laugh just melts my heart. He is OBSESSED with bellies right now – probably because mine is so big! He always wants to lift up our shirts and look at our bellies. This morning as I was telling him again that his baby sister was in my belly, and he then went over to Jered’s belly. I asked him if Daddy had a baby sister in his belly and he nonchalantly said, “no.” Jered and I were shocked!
We have a very smart little boy on our hands. He is constantly putting numbers together (i.e. he grabs his 5 and 0 and makes “50” and walks around the house saying, “fifty.”). He has started to put some letters together too. His favorite his getting C and O and walking around saying “CO.” At night when I read to him he grabs my pointer finger and makes me spell each word in the story. Even though I am super tired at bedtime, it is one of my favorite parts of the day.
It is so crazy how I love him so very much, more than I could ever express in words, and how that love just keeps growing. He is my sunshine and I am so blessed to share my days with him.
