23 weeks

Here is a picture of me in Saugatuck, MI last weekend, I was 22 weeks pregnant.  I think that bathing suit cover-up actually makes me look a little bit bigger than I am.

I have had two OB apts. since moving to Michigan.  The first one did not go well at all.  The OB I saw was an absolute jerk and Eli and I were waiting there 2 hours before we saw him.  Not to mention, Eli did not like the OB measuring my belly or listening to the baby’s heartbeat – the poor guy had a major meltdown.  So needless to say, when I was told my blood pressure was high I was not too surprised.  They were mildly concerned about it though, so I had to go back last week to have it checked. 

The new OB I saw was very friendly and I liked her a lot better.  Eli confirmed that he hates OBs and nurses, and that he is just going to cry at every appointment.  Baby girl is fine, but my blood pressure is still a bit high.  They just want to watch me closely for now and are not going to increase the medication that I have been taking.  I am not really worried about it, because I think it is high at the office because Eli is so upset, etc. Anyways, I have to go back again in two weeks.

I am officially feeling pregnant.  My appetite is starting to get scary and I am hot all the time.  I get heartburn about once a day, and boy did I forget how much that sucks.  The exciting part is feeling her move throughout the day.  I think she does take after her brother and is pretty laid back in the womb.  I feel movement/flutters throughout the day, but I don’t think she is super active.  That’s just how Eli was.

Each day that goes by we are realizing more and more that we will have a baby girl soon.  It still seems so surreal. 

  

But by the looks of that belly, there is no denying it.  Amelia Grace is on her way!
