Last week our family of four headed downstate to visit family & friends in metro Detroit. The kids did great on the 8 hour drive and it was so nice to spend Easter weekend with my family.
Saturday we headed to the Detroit Zoo and had perfect weather that reached the 70’s! Eli’s favorite animals were the chimpanzees, gorillas, ostriches and giraffes. He couldn’t quite figure out why he couldn’t jump the fence and play with the animals up close.
Easter Sunday we went to the church that I attended since about 5th grade. The church is huge now and had something like 11 services at three different locations. E & G both loved the music and were completely captivated at the beginning. We attended the last service which was during nap time, so after about 15 minutes G took a nap in my carrier and E walked around with Daddy.
My handsome little man in his suit.
Me with sister.
We had a nice time at Grammy’s house visiting family and wish we could come visit more often.
We visited with Jenn & Hadley and Eli loved Hadley’s dollhouse. Hadley is a sweetheart and loves to play dress up. She really wanted Eli to dress up as Prince Eric, but he was not interested.
We went to the amazing Ann Arbor Children’s Museum were Eli got to do so many fun things. Here he is checking out how a toilet works. He is obsessed with the potty right now. He doesn’t want to use them, but rather he likes to look at them and figure out how they work.
E & Daddy playing trains. It was so much fun having Daddy with us everyday. Eli really bonded with Jered during our vacation week and it was so sweet to see.
He loved the water table area. Here he is lining up his boats. He loves to line up things these days – cars, puzzle pieces, etc..
While we were staying at Papa & Grammy Lea’s house, our sweet girl decided to roll over for the first time! So exciting that we were all there to cheer her on.
It was a great week spending time with everyone and being together as a family. E & G did wonderful and we can’t wait to do it again!
Congrats on the Grace roll :) Grace is so amazing, getting so big! And Eli is still his adorable, genius self. Love you guys - so good to spend quality time with you! We miss you so much :*(
