Happenings

me

Life is good and I want to savor and capture each moment of it, but these days there isn’t much time to blog.  Mothering Eli and Grace is how I spend my days and working part time from home is how I spend my nights.  It’s a lot, but I can’t complain.  I am so blessed to be able to be at home with my two darlings, and my desire to do what it takes to maintain that drives me.

Eli and Grace are wonderful and growing up so fast.  I am going to try and post once a week, even if it is just a picture and a few sentences.  I love the idea of blogging, so that I have a memory book so to speak of life with my amazing children.

Two quick stories about each of them…

toddler bed

Right after my birthday we set up Eli’s toddler bed and moved the crib into Grace’s room.  Now we have a twin bed in his room that has been set up since he turned two and tried to encourage him to sleep in it.  The minute we put him on the twin bed he would say “No, no!” and try to get off.  Well, Grace needed the crib and I was beside myself with worry wondering what we were going to do about Eli and this twin bed.  Let me say that he is a GREAT sleeper and I was worried about upsetting his sleep schedule, among other things.  Well, one night as I was lying in bed thinking about this situation, it just occurred to me – toddler bed!  Oh my gosh, he absolutely loves his toddler bed.  Best $80 I have ever spent!  The first night we set it up he slept in it perfectly and has done great ever since.  It is like he didn’t even skip a beat.  We laugh now at home much we worried about it and how funny it is to think of him sleeping in a crib.

Sister girl is wonderful.  She is growing up so fast I cannot even believe it!  My favorite thing to share about her is that she laughs now!  I must capture it on video because it is just amazing.  She likes it when we tickle her tummy and when I make her dance (move her arms and stuff) she just gets the biggest smile and starts laughing.  When she first did it I thought she was crying or something, but she had the biggest smile on her face, so I quickly realized it was her laugh.  Oh how I love her so…

Okay, more to come next week…
