12 Months Old

Dear Eli,

Happy Birthday - you are 12 mths old! Boy has your first year gone by fast!

Here is what you have been up to this past month:

• You are standing really well. You can't pull up with you leg on yet, but when we stand you up you can stay standing for 10-15 minutes.
• You have "cruised" a bit. When you stand by the ottoman or by the fouton, you have taken a few steps with both your right and left foot!
  
• You love standing at the dishwasher and sliding the bottom tray back and forth.
• You love playing in the kitchen and getting into the drawers and cupboards.
• You love going on rides in your new car.
• You love wheels!
• You are eating so well and use your hands and pincher grasp like a pro!
• You are mastering your sippy cup and don't want me to help hold it anymore.
• You are starting to not like diaper changes and are becoming a squirmer.
• You can clap now, and move your whole body when you are happy.
• You have been teething for few weeks and we just can't wait until these new teeth come in.
  

You are my greatest joy and I am so lucky that I get to watch you grow! I am so proud of all that you have accomplished this past year, and am looking forward to seeing all that you do in this coming year.
