Two weekends ago Eli's friend Toby and his Mom and Dad spent the weekend with us. We are so blessed to have met this family. You see, Toby has FH of the right leg too, and he had his amputation done by Dr. Woo last October and Paul makes his legs. This family has been down the same road that we are traveling and have brought us so much comfort.
We had a great weekend together and Kaley & Ronnie (Toby's Mom and Dad) taught us a lot about the ins and outs of a little one with a prosthetic leg. I think the highlight of the weekend was when we showed Toby (18mths) Eli's leg - he looked at it and said "Whoa!" with the biggest smile on his face. I still get tears in my eyes thinking of that moment. It was amazing. I can't wait for when Eli gets older and realizes that Toby has a leg just like him too.
What great photo's Kristina, it is so nice you are in contact with people who have been through the same process:)
