We love Chicago and decided that when we move in 2 years (hopefully!) we would definitely consider living outside of Chicago (Oak Park maybe?).
One of the many amazing things about Chicago is that there are so many restaurant options (we have TWO restaurants in Newberry)! On Thursday night we went to Crisps with Maggie & Ben and had the best fried chicken and Bi Bim Bop ever - s0 good!
On Friday, Maggie and I walked about 3 miles in hopes of going to two baby stores. Turns out one was no longer in business and the other was closed :( Its okay though, we ended up getting manicures and pedicures and then meeting Nette, Bobby & Jered for lunch at this amazing Costa Rican restaurant! They had a great shake menu and J and I got Sour Sop shakes ( this was our favorite fruit from our honeymoon in St. Lucia in 2006).
Friday night we went out to dinner with our great friends Jill & Nick and Dana & Jason. After dinner we met up with the wedding party for a toast to the soon to be married couple (I had cranberry juice).
Saturday we had high hopes of dining at Hot Doug's with Maggie and Ben. This is supposed to be an incredible hot dog joint. Ben is from Chicago and has been there before and J and I saw the place on the travel channel. Well, we got there at 11:00 am and there was a line all the way around the building :( We didn't have time to wait b/c we had to leave for the wedding at 2pm, so we'll have to make sure to check this place out the next time we go.
Nicolle and Paul were the cutest couple ever and we had a great time at their wedding.
Here are some pics from the weekend:
