Miss Grace turned 10 months old last Sunday…in 2 months she’ll be 1 year old! That’s just crazy!! Yes, she is standing up in this picture, because that is what she does these days. Last month she hadn’t started to crawl yet and now she crawls, pulls up like it is her job, and has started to attempt cruising.
I took this picture of her a day or two after she started pulling up, and you can see that she is still a bit unsteady, and unsure of this whole standing thing. It took her maybe a week to get comfortable and confident, and now it is all she does.
This is usually what I see after nap time.
Doesn’t she look like she is such a big girl in this picture?
This past month she also got to take her first bath with Eli – she enjoyed it a little bit. We were unsure how he would react, but he actually didn’t mind sharing the tub with “baby,” as he affectionately calls her.
She is still head over heels in love with him and it appears she attend a “pesky little sister” course in utero, because no matter what he is doing she wants to be right by him.
They have started to “play” together a bit and it completely melts my heart. When I say “play,” what I really mean is that E tolerate G trying to play with him for a bit, before he moves onto something else. Those brief moments though are priceless and I know in my heart that at some point these two are going to be besties…it just might take 20 years or so.
Grace attended her first Fair this past month and got to see a horse, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, etc. She was intrigued by the horse.
One of Grace’s favorite activities is looking in the mirror on our front closet door. She laughs so loud and just gets tickled seeing her reflection. I don’t know if she realizes that it is her or if she thinks it is another baby. I kind of think that she thinks it is another baby. She loves kids, babies, etc. and continues to prove that she is our social butterfly.
We tried our best to take Grace’s monthly picture in her chair, but she is so busy that she was literally trying to jump out.
This is probably the best snap we got.
Grace spells t.r.o.u.b.l.e! Seriously this girl gets into everything. She has an addition to cords and outlets and is on a mission to dump out the dog’s water dish. We jokingly put her into “time out” here and she just laughed at us. Man are we in trouble.
I almost forgot to mention that Grace clearly has some words. She definitely says, “Mama,” “Dada,” “Ball,” and I think she calls Eli, “Bobo,” and I am pretty sure she has said, “Hi” a few times. She babbles constantly too and I get the feeling that she is going to be pretty chatty.
My sweet, sweet girl I love you so very much! You continue to be such a wonderful blessing to me and to our entire family. You are growing up so very fast and I am so proud of you.
I love this little girl so much and can't wait to see them both. 4DAYS!!!!!!
