Pee pee in the potty!

Yesterday Eli made his first pee pee in the potty!  Here he is recreating the special moment.  Honestly, it was one of the most exciting/happiest moments I’ve had as a mom.  I had a permanent smile on my face all day.

We are not doing hard core potty training yet, but he does wear pull-ups now except at bedtime.  I try to ask him if he wants to pee pee in the potty once or twice a day.  He used to be scared of the potty, but now he thinks it is a lot of fun.  He is so funny, because he wants to have everything off from the waist down to sit on the potty (including his leg and socks).  That is just typical Eli…so hilarious!

So yesterday he was sitting around with everything off, and I kept reminding him that if he had to pee he needed to sit on the potty.  I was changing Grace and he crawled over to the potty and peed!  I had to show him how to make sure the pee stayed in the potty, but then he went a bit more.  I was crazy excited and he was happy, but acted all cool about it – again, typical Eli.

We still have a long way to go with the potty training, and that is fine by me, but I just had to record the very first time my big boy peed in his Elmo potty.  Oh happy day!!!
