Grace is 5 months old!

My sweet Grace turned 5 months old yesterday! She is growing up so fast that I can hardly believe it!  Each month seems to go by faster and faster.  I know that I say that every month, but it is really true.

Grace is doing really well and brings so much joy to our family.  She is cooing and babbling so much now and when she smiles and laughs it literally melts my heart.

She is still sleeping really well.  She sleeps through the night and is sleeping a bit longer for her morning and afternoon naps in her crib.  She still takes a little cat nap around 10:30 a.m. in her swing if we are home or in the car/my carrier if we are out.  She doesn’t always take a later afternoon anymore.

She really does not like tummy time.  She pushes up with her arms now and rocks back and forth, but hasn’t rolled yet.  Eli didn’t like tummy time either, but Miss Grace really doesn’t like it.

She LOVES to be standing up.  She has loved her activity center for awhile, and this past month we introduced her to a friend’s jumperoo that we are borrowing and she gave it a big thumbs up.  I thought she might be too little for it, but she jumps like crazy and laughs in it. 

I noticed her hair was getting a bit longer and thicker this past month so she got to wear her first barrette!  I think it just looks so darling on her and am loving putting them into her beautiful hair.

I definitely think she looks like a feminine version of Eli, but every once in awhile I’ll look in the mirror at myself and I see her and it makes me smile.  I have this motherly sense that Grace is going to be a wonderfully strong woman and even at 5 mths she inspires me in so many ways.  I just feel so incredibly blessed that I was chosen to be her Mama.
