Two months old

Dear Eli,

You are two months old today! You really have grown up a lot this past month and I just love watching how you seem to change each day. You have become so much more alert and interactive. The best thing that has happened this month is that you smile at me :) When I see your sweet toothy grin directed at me my heart completely melts.

We got out your play mat this month and you love laying there looking at your buddies, watching the flashing lights and listening to the classic music. You are laying there right now cooing and giggling :) You also love to lay in your crib and look at your mobile. You like the black and white cow the best. You favorite spots are vibrating in your bouncy seat or in my arms. You are getting so strong and I suspect that you will be able to hold your head up very soon.

You are still sleeping in your swing, but Daddy and I will try out the cradle again this month. You usually fall asleep between 9 - 10 pm and will sleep until 3 am or 4 am. You wake up to eat and then sleep again for two - three hours. You take a few cat naps during the day, usually on my chest or in the bouncy seat.

You took really well to the bottle this month and get one at each feeding. We call you our "grazer" or little snacker, because you like to eat a little bit all day long. When we weighed you with your clothes on last week you weighed 12.9 lbs. We'll see how much you weigh tomorrow at your two month check up! You have almost outgrown your 0-3 mth clothes and will be in your 3-6 mth clothes before we know it.

You are a very laid back baby and only cry if you are hungry or tired. You love to to be held and love to nestle your head right on my neck. You still look like daddy and my heart grows with more love for you every day.
